The use of animals in research: Talk

VivisectionPosted by SfA Fri, March 11, 2011 11:08:41
Edinburgh Skeptiks are hosting a talk by Professor Roger Downie of Glasgow University on the use of animals in experiments on March 17th.

You'll probably know that Scotland for Animals along with Dr Andre Menache of Antidote Europe have repeatedly made official requests for a public debate with the board and vivisectors of the Uni on this subject. We've been flatly turned down every time.

Roger Downie is pro-animal experiments but claims to want to do these in a more 'ethical framework'. It's been stated that there will be audience interaction so get along if you can and join the debate.

The talk will be from 7.30 pm

The Bongo Club, 37 Holyrood Road, Edinburgh EH8 8BA. See here for map: http://tinyurl.com/4k89j5b
